![]() ![]() This is a warning - the controller does not shut down.īattery voltage is above 16V. Not reported during 2 second power-up.īattery voltage is below 11V for more than 5 seconds. This fault can be the result of the power lost to the ECM or a break in the CANBUS communications connec- tion from the ECM to the JLG system.įlash code 4/4 indicates problems with the battery supply. The engine is configured to have a CANBUS controlled engine and the JLG system does not detect the presence of an ECM. This fault will only be applicable when non-CANBUS engine setups are configured. Indicates an Engine Control Module (ECM) has been detected on the CAN- BUS. Indicates that the fuel sensor is reading below 0.2 volts. Indicates that the fuel sensor is reading above 4.3 volts. Can be reported during power-up sequence. It occurs when no responses are received from the ECM for 2.5 seconds. This fault only occurs with a Ford engine. The SPN number represents what is broken and FMI number represents how the com- ponent is broken.Īn unrecognized Ford ECM fault code has been received. If Fault Code 43 FMI 12 is Inactive, test complete. ![]() Can be reported during power-up sequence.Īll J1939 CANBUS ECMs will report fault messaging in this format. 3L Cummins Dodge RAM Diesel Engine 4B 6B 6C Motorhomes Ford Freightliner 12VDC 4. ![]() They only occur if a Ford engine is selected in the machine configuration digits. If a Deutz engine is configured, this indicates that the coolant temperature is reading below 0.1 volts.Īll Ford fault codes except 63 are simply passed through from the FORD ECM. ![]() This fault is not detected dur- ing crank. Reading below 0.1 volts for more than 5 seconds. OIL PRESSURE SHORT TO GROUND If a Deutz engine is configured, this indicates that the oil pressure sensor is OIL PRESSURE SHORT TO BATTERY If a Deutz engine is configured, this indicates that the oil pressure sensor is If a Ford engine is configured, the Ford ECM has reported a low oil pressure fault. If a Deutz engine is configured, the oil pressure is below 8 PSI and the engine has been running for at least 10 seconds. The engine has been running for 15 seconds or more and the battery voltage is still below 11.5 volts. Occurs when the engine temperature is above 117 degrees Celsius for the Ford engines, and above 130 degrees Celsius for the Deutz engines. Except where noted, these faults are not reported during 2 second power-up sequence. NOT REQUIREDįlash code 4/3 indicates problems with the engine. This will tell you if it's correlated with the frayed wiring at all.SECTION 6 - JLG CONTROL SYSTEM (S/N 61718 TO PRESENT)įlash code 4/2 indicates that the engine is over temperature. You also should probably find out which cylinder is misfiring - if I'm not mistaken, plugging in a code reader will give you the exact cylinder number while the key trick will only flash a general misfire code on the dashboard. If none of that fixes it, suspect the driver transistors and try replacing the ECU. I think it's the orange Ford 19lb/hr injectors but I am not sure. If none of those fix it, try swapping the injector on the frayed line with another, unless they are the pressed together 2 piece injectors, in which case replace them all, Joe Peters has a recommendation on those. If that doesn't help replace plugs (if it's been more than 30k miles they are due anyways) and see if that fixes it. If it does flash the same as the others, you're fine most likely - at that point I would probably inspect the rotor and distributor cap, and replace as needed. If it doesn't, you have an injector wiring fault still or a blown driver transistor in the ECU, if it's the latter, you will have to replace the whole thing as a unit unless you know how to fix it. After that, put a noid light on that injector plug and see if it flashes the same brightness as the others. ![]()
